Emily was born in Bay City, Michigan on May 15 to Betty, a school teacher, and Randy Podleski, a postal worker. Although her parents divorced when she was young, Emily says she and her younger brother have been blessed by both of their parent's marriages. "I can't imagine my life without ALL of my parents, brothers and sisters...and now all my nephews and niece! Everyone has been extremely supportive of me pursuing my dream!"
Emily was painfully shy as a child often hiding behind her mother's legs. In Junior High, Emily began acting in local productions. By the time she was in High School, she thrived on stage. "I was fearless on stage. I loved it! I lost all inhibitions." She took advantage of every opportunity that her high school and local production companies provided. Breaking out of her shell, she participated in newspaper, student council, forensics, and was on the Home Coming Court and even gave up lunch to cram Calculus and Varsity Choir into one hour. She graduated in the top ten of her class.After graduation she headed to Western Michigan University to study a triple major: elementary education, Spanish, and theatre. Her junior

Loves cooking and baking (she often bakes for the cast and crew while she is filming).

year, she dropped her other two majors and concentrated on theatre. Working part time at the University Theatre, Emily thrived in the program scoring the lead in several productions, working in an experimental theatre group, and trying her hand at directing. "Western's staff was wonderfully supportive and knowledgeable." That year, she auditioned for an agent in Detroit and within months booked a small role in the made for TV movie "The Elevator" starring Greg Lauren and Elizabeth Berkley. That December she graduated with top honors with a Bachelors of Arts.
Emily now resides in Los Angeles where she is currently pursuing an acting career. She has scored several roles in hit television shows, has had lead roles in several movies, and has done some commercial work. Emily has dabbled in production.
